Level 2 Award for Door Supervisors in the Private Security Industry

The doosupervisor course is for anyone aged 18+ who wants to work legally as a security guard in the UK. It opens up many opportunities to working in both licenced and non-licenced premises such retail, nightclubs, restaurants, airports, festivals, loading bay supervisors, office buildings and many more. The 6 day training will equip you to pass your course in order for you to will Once you have apply for your SIA Door Supervisor licence on the SIA’s website and you will receive your 3 year licence in the post.

Course Units

  • The SIA Door Supervisor course has 4 units that must be covered:
  • Unit 1: Principles of working in the Private Security Industry
  • Unit 2: Principles of working as a Door Supervisor in the Private Security Industry
  • Unit 3: Application of Conflict Management in the Private Security Industry
  • Unit 4: Application of Physical Intervention Skills in the Private Security Industry

Assessment

  • 3 multiple choice exams
  • Practical exam

Age: 18+
Duration: 7 days
Grading: The qualifications and units are graded as Pass/Fail

Entry Requirements: Learners should have, as a minimum, language skills in reading, writing, speaking and listening equivalent to the following based in the UK:

  • B2 Level qualification
  • B2 Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)
  • ESOL (level 1)
  • Functional Skills Level 1 English

First Aid:

Since April 2021 it has been mandatory that all learners who are taking the Door Supervisors training will have to show a First Aid Certificate (at least a Level 2). Please see our courses details for the First Aid course.
